Castle airs on ABC on Tuesdays at 10 PM ET. Luckily, ABC is a local network, so you should have access to it whether you have cable or not. If you want to watch Castle online or need alternative methods to enjoy your favorite show, we’ve included the cheapest, easiest options for watching Castle live stream and on-demand episodes.
Watch Castle Online Using Hulu
Hulu is quickly becoming the go-to subscription streaming service for people that want to enjoy new TV without paying a large cable bill. That’s because Hulu (review) offers a huge selection of new episodes either the day after they air or 8 days after they air, depending on the show. In the case of Castle, you can watch new episodes 8 days after they air on ABC.
You can catch up and watch Castle on Hulu, as well. Five episodes are always available on Hulu, so if you miss a few you can always catch them later.
In addition to new shows, Hulu offers thousands of recent and classic TV shows and a huge library of movies, as well.
Hulu has two price options, the commercial option at $7.99 a month, or no commercials for $11.99. If you’re new to Hulu you should take advantage of the free 7-day trial to get acquainted with the service. It’s one of the best subscription services out there, so if you haven’t already, you should give it a shot!
Sling TV Offers ABC Live Stream in Select Markets
Want to watch Castle online live as it airs on ABC? Now, there’s a great way you can do so — Sling TV. What is Sling TV? It’s a live streaming service that offers subscribers skinny bundles of channels for a fraction of the price of cable TV. Just recently, Sling TV has started to offer ABC live streaming in select markets in its Broadcast Extra package for $5 a month on top of the Best of Live TV service ($20 a month, no contract, cancel any time). If you live in the TV markets for Chicago, Fresno-Visalia, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, and San Francisco (roughly 25% of the country), you can get ABC and watch Castle live stream on Sling TV.
Sling TV is available on just about all streaming devices and mobile devices, including computers, iOS and Android phones and tablets, Xbox gaming consoles, and a bevy of streaming players (Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, Android TV, and more).

PlayStation Vue Now Offers ABC On Demand
PlayStation Vue, a new live streaming service from Sony, has recently launched nationwide. Vue carries ABC in its channel lineup, but there’s a catch — the channel isn’t live.
If you get the Access Slim package at $29.99 a month, you’ll have ABC On Demand in your lineup. This offers on-demand access to ABC content the day after it airs.
The obvious drawback is that it’s not a live stream, but Vue is also more expensive than Sling TV and is only available on a handful of devices, including PS3/PS4 gaming consoles, Chromecast, Fire TV, and iPhone/iPad devices.
Catch All of the Castle Live Stream Using an Antenna or Watch On Demand with DVR
Castle is on ABC, so you can watch it without cable on your television with an antenna. There is a large selection of excellent antennas on the market.
Once you pay to buy the antenna you get to watch Castle free along with your other favorite local shows when they air on TV. We recommend the Mohu Leaf, which allows you to pick up channels within a 50 mile radius.
If you want to watch Castle on demand, you can use a DVR. You don’t need cable anymore to enjoy the functionality of a DVR.
There are multiple standalone DVRs on the market that allow you the same freedoms as a cable DVR, with the ability to record live television and to rewind or fast-forward through commercials.
If you want a DVR with all of these functions and more, we recommend the Tablo. Having the setup of the digital antenna and the over-the-air DVR will make it feel a little more like when you had cable, but without that big bill.
Other Legal Options to Watch Castle Full Episodes
If you prefer to watch Castle online, you still have a few options. You can purchase full episodes or a season pass from video on demand services. Unlike subscription streaming services, where you get hundreds of shows at once, here you are buying one episode or one season at a time. As you may have guessed, this can add up quick, so you might want to utilize this option for only your favorite shows, if at all. Also, these methods don’t let you watch Castle live stream, but are a good way to catch up on episodes after they air.
- Amazon Instant Video: If you’re going to go this route to watch Castle full episodes, Amazon offers some of the cheapest prices around at $2 per individual episode and season pass prices that vary based on the popularity and length of the show. New episodes are placed in your video library the day after they air if you purchase the season pass.
- Vudu: Vudu is similar to Amazon in price, with the majority of shows coming in at $2 per episode. New episodes are available the day after they are on TV.
- Google Play & iTunes: If you’re a hardcore cellphone/tablet user you might opt to use one of these services based on whether you are an Android or an Apple user. The drawback here is that these services tend to cost more than Amazon or Vudu. Otherwise, they are pretty similar. You might just price check your episodes before buying them in this way.
Thanks to Castle being on ABC (which has a ton of other great shows), you should be able to find watching options relatively easy. If you need some extra guidance though, just leave us a comment. We’re here to help!
