Washington Redskins Live Stream: Watch the Redskins Online

The Washington Redskins are always a fun team to watch. If you’re looking for a way to access Washington Redskins live stream this season, this is the guide for you!

Want to watch all the action? If you don’t have cable, you may be worried about your access to NFL games this season. There’s good news! You don’t have to have cable to catch the Redskins games for the 2016-17 season. There are several ways you can watch the Washington Redskins online legally, without a pay TV contract.

Check out our NFL Preseason viewing guide, and see below for the best options for Washington Redskins streaming during the preseason:

Watch the Washington Redskins Live Stream with Sling TV

The best way to watch the Redskins online during the preseason is to use Sling TV. If you haven’t heard about the service, here’s how it works: you sign up and pay $20-$40 a month depending on which package you choose. There’s no contract, so you’re free to cancel at any time. You’ll get access to 25-60+ channels (again, depending on the package you go with), all of which you can watch LIVE, just like if you had cable TV. You watch on your computer, smartphone, or on your TV using a streaming device.

Sling TV has a ton of great channels, but for football fans, the most important by far is NFL Network. NFL Network this season will broadcast every single preseason game! 16 of those games will be aired live at game time, with the others offered as replays either later that same day or next-day. Local blackouts may apply.

So, with Sling TV you can sign up (and try a free 7 day trial while you’re at it) to gain immediate access to Redskins streaming – plus a TON more. Sling will also be incredibly useful during the regular season, which we’ll discuss below.

Watch the Washington Redskins Online with NFL Game Pass

NFL Game Pass is the league’s own online streaming option for watching every game. It allows you to access all live out-of-market preseason games and regular season games on demand after they air (more on this later). There are both domestic and international versions of the service. Check out my complete Game Pass review here.

Game Pass is the best way to watch the Washington Redskins online during the preseason. You can watch every out-of-market game live on a number of connected devices. So, as long as the game isn’t airing locally in your area, you can stream it live. If it is broadcasting in your local market, you can stream the game after it airs on Game Pass.

NFL Game Pass costs only $99 a year, and you can start with a free 7-day trial to test out the service. Watch the game on your mobile devices, computer. or streaming players, like Apple TV, Xbox, and Chromecast. More streaming players will be available soon for Game Pass viewing. Regular Season

For regular season games, check the options below. We also have a complete guide explaining how to watch NFL online.

Watch the Washington Redskins Live Stream on Sling TV

Sling TV will be a fantastic service for football fans this season. In fact, it’s a fantastic service to have in general, as it provides a much cheaper alternative to cable TV, while offering much of the same channels.

US subscribers of Sling TV get access to over 25-60+ popular cable networks without being tied to cable. There is no contract, and the service starts at just $20 per month. You can cancel any time. Click here to read my Sling TV review.

During the NFL season, the following channels offered by Sling will come in handy:

  • ESPN – ESPN hosts a ton of news/analysis of football, tons of other sports, as well as Monday Night Football each week
  • NFL Network – NFL Network hosts lots of football news, plus Thursday Night Football every week
  • FOX – FOX covers TONS of local games (see the Washington Redskins TV schedule below). FOX is offered in the Washington D.C. area, but it’s not live in some other areas yet.
  • NBC – NBC covers some local games. NBC is offered in Washington D.C., but is not yet live in some other areas.

So, to sum up, if you live in the D.C. area you can watch nearly every Redskins game – during both preseason and regular season – with Sling TV!

Right now you can take advantage of a great limited-time offer from Sling TV. Sign up for 3 months of service and get a discounted Apple TV, or a free Roku. Both of these top-rated streaming players will let you watch Washington Redskins games online all season long right from your television without a cable box.

If you want to test out Sling TV, consider the 7-day free trial to watch the Washington Redskins online free for a week!

NFL Sunday Ticket Offers Live Streaming for Out-of-Market NFL Games

This year, fans can use DirecTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket service to watch their favorite teams play. The service covers all out-of-market (meaning not televised locally) games live. It’s available as part of many DirecTV satellite subscriptions.

Some people may also qualify for a streaming version of the service. Who qualifies for NFL Sunday Ticket streaming service? Folks living in areas that don’t have access to DirecTV’s satellite service, which is common in apartment complexes, townhomes, and dorms, may now qualify for the NFL Sunday Ticket streaming package. The service starts at $49.99 a month for the season, and you can stream all regular season Redskins games along with the rest of the NFL regular season lineup. Local blackouts may apply.

For college students, there’s an even sweeter deal. If you or a family member are currently away at school, you may be able to get NFL Sunday Ticket U, the same Sunday Ticket streaming service, at a discounted rate. The service is only $24.99 a month and gives you streaming access to all out-of-market NFL games.

Watch Redskins Regular Season Games On Demand with Game Pass

In addition to letting you watch preseason games live online, NFL Game Pass also offers all regular season games on demand. While you won’t be able to watch the Washington Redskins online live during the regular season, the ability to watch every game replay shortly after it airs is still appealing to some fans. If you’re someone who works on Sundays or follows other teams, Game Pass might be worth trying out.

In addition to full broadcast replays, domestic viewers located in the US and US territories can watch 30-minute condensed version of each Washington game without breaks, commercials, or commentary. You can also access exclusive camera angles with the Coaches Film feature to see things regular viewers might miss, and you can rewatch every game dating back to the 2009 season.

Game Pass is $99 for the whole season, and you can try out a free 7-day trial to test out the service.

PlayStation Vue Offers Washington Redskins Live Stream

Another easy way to stream Redskins games online is to use PlayStation Vue. This service, brought to you by Sony, is similar to Sling TV in that it gives you access to TV channels without a cable subscription.

Vue’s plans start at $30 a month ($40 a month in some areas) and offer 50+ channels. NFL Network, ESPN and many more are included nationwide, while NBC and FOX are live in select markets. Our PlayStation Vue review has more details.

An Antenna Lets You Watch Local and Nationally-Aired Washington Games

If you’re still in the DC metro area don’t worry, you can still access all of the Redskins games as they are broadcast on your local TV stations. All of the local games will play free over-the-air in your broadcast zone, including Monday Night Football. If you don’t already have an antenna, I recommend checking out our guide which can help you choose the best antenna for you.

Did you know you can also stream TV from your antenna to your phone, tablet, streaming player, and other connected devices? With a DVR, you can record, pause, rewind, and fast-forward over-the-air TV. You can even stream live TV and your recordings to your connected devices and watch the Redskins online anywhere you go. It’s a good way to make sure you don’t miss a snap all season. Click here to read my guide to the best DVRs for cord cutters.
